On the morning of February 6th at 10:00 AM, the Taichung Branch ingeniously hosted its first "Dadun Justice Market," expanding the scope of the 123 joint auction and charity sale event. The event commenced with a speech by Director Huang Yuyuan of the Ministry of Justice's Administrative Enforcement Agency. In addition to the usual auction items such as vehicles and mobile phones, new stalls were set up in the branch's central courtyard to sell products on behalf of debtors. These stalls featured a variety of goods including leather products, suitcases, skincare products, black garlic vinegar, handmade mochi, coffee, toast, tea eggs, dried fruits, fried rice noodles, rice cakes, fresh fruits, and more, totaling 14 stalls. The diverse and high-quality items, offered at affordable prices, attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic participants, supporting debtors in overcoming their difficulties and celebrating the New Year with hope.
This event also collaborated with the Taichung City Private Shifang Social Welfare Charity Foundation, which set up a stall to showcase its efforts. The foundation has long been dedicated to supporting and providing care for adolescents with intellectual disabilities, equipping them with vocational skills to reduce family burdens and address social issues. Additionally, the event featured booths from the Central Region National Taxation Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, the Taichung City Government Local Tax Bureau, and the Central Region Maintenance Engineering Office of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, all aimed at promoting tax and road safety awareness. In anticipation of the Lunar New Year, the Taichung Branch's Ethics Office also set up a booth under the theme "Integrity and Convenience for the Public."
To further care for and assist disadvantaged debtors and organizations, the Taichung Branch's staff has voluntarily organized a charity group since 2002. This group traditionally holds a charity sale called "Share Love, Share Happiness" before the Lunar New Year. This year, the charity sale was combined with the "Dadun Justice Market." Renowned calligraphy artist and Director of the Secretariat, Chuang Kunshan, performed live calligraphy to sell Spring Festival couplets, while other donated items from the staff were also sold. The proceeds from today's charity sale, totaling NT$15,761, were donated by Director Huang Yuyuan to the Shifang Social Welfare Charity Foundation for their use.
At the 123 joint auction held during this event, the total amount from the sale of movable property reached NT$3,051,340, while the sale of immovable property amounted to NT$2,956,000, resulting in a combined total of NT$6,007,340 for the day. Noteworthy items included a Tesla Model 3 E3DP, which sold for NT$1,460,000, and a Mercedes-Benz C200, which fetched NT$1,300,000.
Among the sold items, OPPO mobile phones were the most popular, with 195 units available for purchase at NT$1,100 each, limited to 5 units per person. Over 500 participants attended, and buyers were selected by lottery, resulting in a total sales amount of NT$214,500. Additionally, various goods sold by debtors, such as leather products and suitcases, generated sales of NT$63,840.
