Huang Yu-Yuan, the Director-General of the Administrative Enforcement Agency (AEA)
of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), together with Deputy Director Yeh Tzu-Chiang and the
relevant AEA staff visited in person Director-General Shih Chiung-Hwa of Insurance Bureau,
FSC on April 24 to discuss issues of rights and enforcement of life insurance contracts. The
visit was the first horizontal contact and interaction between the AEA and Insurance Bureau,
demonstrating the spirit of cooperation, integration and mutual support between
administrative institutes.
During the meeting, Director-General Huang particularly expressed his gratitude to the
Insurance Bureau for its support and guidance to the “Seminar of Expert Consulting on
Practical Issues in the Enforcement of Rights of Life Insurance Contracts” recently held by
the AEA, and for providing abundant valuable opinions from the perspective of the insurance
competent authority on various aspects of administrative enforcement, which offers important
reference for the practical works of properly enforcing rights in life insurance contracts by
branches of the AEA. Director-General Shih also stated that the Insurance Bureau is
cooperating with the AEA with great pleasure, and it will also provide the relevant necessary
assistance with the belief that the joint efforts of both institutes can generate more positive

benefits to general public rights and interests, as well as the interaction between the AEA and
insurance sector.
This exchange and interaction between the AEA and Insurance Bureau not only solidified
mutual trust, but it also provided a better understanding of each other’s works, laying a solid
foundation for jointly promoting public-private cooperation in the future. The AEA will
continue to seek opportunities for cooperation with various administrative institutes and
professional groups with the aim to more efficiently solve practical problems encountered
during the enforcement process, and promote the fairness and rationality of legal enforcement
with innovative mindset.
